This holiday home is best suited for couples & small family groups keeping in mind that this really is an OPEN PLAN bach - there is a comfortable futon style double bed and 2 slat lounges converting to single beds for sleeping. The kitchen has a 2 gas burner + small convection oven for cooking, medium sized refrigerator with top freezer. The covered deck converts to another "outdoor living" space with plenty of outdoor furniture & bean bags - a prime spot for bird watching & relaxing. Combined bathroom with shower, toilet & laundry.

Devoid of mod cons there is a good selection of reading material, board games, jigsaw puzzles for all ages + a CD/Radio player.

Resident Kereu (NZ native wood pigeon) Tuis, Morepork plus many more wonderful native bird species & flora.

The rocky foreshore at Tuateawa can be rather good for fishing, snorkeling & kayaking & rockpooling. A short ten minute drive north is the pristine, golden sand swimming beach at Little Bay or 10 minute drive south to Kennedy Bay beach. There are plenty of bush trails for both hikers & mountain bikers of all skill levels.

Your'e 30 minutes north of Coromandel Town which is the last stop for petrol & provisions. The bach has basic pantry & cleaning items. DOC (Department of Conversation) camp store open over the busy summer month just north of Little Bay. Otherwise its back to Coromandel Town or the famous Colville store.
