The villa was originally a sea-captain?s house on the Manukau Harbour, moved from Onehunga and extensively upgraded as visitors? accommodation, enhanced with many fine colonial features.

Situated among the vineyards and restaurants of Church Bay only a few minutes from Matiatia ferry wharf. A 30-acre bush reserve backs on to the property, with walking tracks to the coastlines of Church Bay and Park Point. The views are truly panoramic, encompassing the entire Hauraki Gulf, with sunsets over Rangitoto Island, Auckland City and a stunning outlook over the Gulf Islands and local Waiheke Island beaches, with broader vistas to Coromandel, Great Barrier Island and The East Coast.

Visitors enjoy a private road leading down to Wild Bay, boat anchorages in Huruhi Bay, the adjoining coastal wilderness, or a short walk around the beach to Oneroa village. A short bush walk takes you to Waiheke?s premier restaurant venues, including the neighbouring Mudbrick Restaurant and Cable Bay.

The guesthouse is intended as a self-serviced holiday home, with everything provided. Additional servicing may be offered by special arrangement; We can accommodate up to 8 people by including Wild Bay Studio when the Villa is rented. The Studio nightly rates will not apply however Extra Persons fees for Wild Bay Villa will apply. Larger groups will benefit with an extra kitchenette, bathroom, lounge / TV room and patio making for a comfortable stay.
