The History
Constructed in 1850, the house was moved in 1921 from it's original site on the same farm, at Baldhill Rd Waiuku by horse with cables rolling it over logs to where it remained until recently. During the time of the Maori wars British soldiers occupied the house where they had a gunny hatch to shoot out of. There are some old bullet holes in the cladding which have been repaired but also in large kept with the history.
