This house is powered by a 5kw solar PV system that is mounted on the roof of the house. The solar panels come with a 10 year manufactures warrantee and a life expectancy of 25 years. It sends power to a separate battery storage shed located just behind the house. The batteries are 2 volt 600Ah deep cycle with a manufactures warrantee of 10 years and a life expectancy of 18 years there are 48 batteries. The XPI 7.0Kva Hybrid charger inverter then converts the power from 96v DC to 230v AC for the house (pure sine wave)
It is connected to the town sewage and has its own water bore. The water pump is powered by 4 180 watt solar PV units which also drive the houses LED lights
Internal and external lighting will be with LED lights all come with 10 year warrantee
Carpeted throughout and vinyl in Bathroom, laundry, kitchen and toilet
Cooking will be from a Belling gas freestanding oven
The roof is long run Colour steel (Colour Grey Friars) the external walls are long run colour steel (Colour Sandstone Grey) and the joinery colour is (silver Perl)
It is very well insulated with R5 Pink Batts in the ceiling and R2.8 in the walls. Double insulated windows and doors. It has a deck along the front with a veranda over it
Hot water is supplied by a Rheem 24L six star continuous flow gas water heater.
Heating is from a 15Kw Metro freestanding wood fire located in the lounge
This house is being constructed by Aaron Fitzsimons Building (Temuka) and will be finished to a very high standard.
