This quaint cottage was built for Mrs Lee in the 1940s by her sons who worked at the local timber mill. Over time the cottage has been upgraded, remodelled and modernized, resulting in a bright and airy home comprising three double bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, and large, open-plan living. It was relocated to its present site overlooking Mercury Bay in 2002.
In 2012 the present owners constructed a huge deck at the rear of the house creating a wonderful private outdoor area surrounded by mature trees and native bush, perfect to relax and enjoy the beautiful vista of bush and sea views accompanied by the sound of the sea and native bird song. Both the lounge and dining room have French doors that open out onto the deck and garden.
