Morere is located between Gisborne and Wairoa, on the East Coast. Morere Spring and the Tea Room are nearby. Nuhaka is just down the road, where there is a primary school, the Nuhaka Village store and the famed Nuhaka Fish and Chip shop. Wairoa township and Mahia Peninsula are perhaps 20 minutes drive away (in opposite directions) There is a daily bus that passes to the schools, Napier and Gisborne.
