Oariki Coastal Cottage is on our 34 acre coastal property facing the Pacific Ocean and Whakari (White Island), you are welcome to roam the bush and paddocks. The beach is just down a short bush track or down our own access road. There is swimming in the ocean or in lagoons at the Motu River mouth and fishing off the beach or, in season ,after Kahawai at the river mouth. Walks can take you along the driftwood strewn beach east to the river mouth or west to Hawai . The beach has pebbles but at mid to low tide there is a good width of exposed sand.
The cottage has a restfull decor with a fireplace for winter , and patios with outdoor furniture and barbeque for warm days and evenings.
The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but when you need spoiling you can arrange to
come over to the farmhouse 20mtrs away for some home cooking at a moderate price.
