Hot Sands Homestead is one of 31 homes in the unique 320acre Tern Point Farm Park located on the south shore of the Mangawhai estuary waterfront adjacent to the DOC sandspit; a sandy wilderness with huge sand hills, rare birds and amazing walks.

The farm park has electronic gate entry for security and privacy, boat launch at the estuary, and acres of shared farm and bush land for walks. The estuary is safe and clean for swimming, boating, fishing and the ocean is nearby.

Our house is on a small hill facing northwest overlooking our 500 Olive trees, farmland and the estuary.

The house has 4 bedrooms (one is a mezzanine open to the stairs), 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges, and kitchen-dining area opening onto a large front deck. There is a separate toilet and laundry.

The main lounge has an open fire and the family lounge has a pool table, table football and a 52inch TV with Sky TV and DVD player. There is a seperate mobile TV withXBox player. The home does not have a landline phone but there is mobile coverage.

A modern, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar adjoins the dining area and opens to the outside deck and BBQ area. A new Broil King gas BBQ is available for guest use.

Upstairs we have the master bedroom with super-king bed, mezzanine bedroom and shared bathroom. Downstairs the guest and children?s bedrooms are separated by a shared bathroom.

Both tiled bathrooms have shower, double bath, vanity and toilet. We have beds for 12 plus a sofa double bed allowing up to 14 people to be accommodated.

For guest use we have a variety of recreational activities including table tennis, table football, pool table, darts, board games, trampoline, and mountain bikes.

We are able to provide some linen and towels if required.

Attractions in the local area include; Golf course, wineries, tavern, Smashed Pipi Gallery and restaurant/bar, Bennett?s Chocolate factory, cafe, Deli and ice-cream parlour.
