This spacious, well designed 1960s family home is designed to take full advantage of the sun with a north facing lounge that flows seamlessly to a large patio, and fully fenced backyard.

Perfect for entertaining – guests can flow out of the lounge and straight onto the patio or lawn. It is also a very relaxing area, if you just want to lie in the sun or read a book in the shade, there are plenty of secluded places. The back garden with brick paths and raised gardens is a very sheltered spot.

Everyone in the family had their own room, with 4 bedrooms in the house. We have claimed one as an office now that all 3 children are now adults. Our sunny master bed room has French doors opening onto the patio and big windows to let in plenty of natural light.

The kitchen has a big window with a view of the front garden. It is easy to use and semi open plan with the living areas. The floors here are polished timber. There is a separate generous sized laundry room.

Our back yard vege gardens provide most of our greens and we love the fruit, ranging from apricots, plums, feijoas, limes, figs, mandarins, oranges and lemons.

Amongst our frequent native visitors are fantails (darting around by our dining table window to entertain us as we eat), the resident silver eyes, Tuis are becoming more frequent and we even have the occasional duck visit from the stream behind the property.

The street is quiet and leads to several nearby parks which are great for dogs, or a walking route to the Marewa shops. The Napier Hill is 5 minutes away, and also a good walking area. Ahuriri and the Pandora pond are also good nearby walks. We sometimes head via the reserve from the back of Veronica Ave to the Mitre 10 Mega, past Farmlands and across to the embankment road leading to the Pandora pond.
The League Park shops are 2 minutes’ walk, for a newspaper, bite to eat or fish n chips.
The city is under 5 minutes away by car and within walking distance if you need the fresh air. The location is great – its also very quick to the airport if your running late for that flight.
