Having served the community for over 100 years the Church was designed by architect William Dunning, with building being completed in 1912. Architectural elements are highlighted by the use of distinctive white bricks which are believed to have arrived in New Zealand as ships ballast. The northern gable end features a large circular window, a perfect feature for an extended Choir Gallery mezzanine floor. The Sanctuary behind the curved brick opening features tall slotted windows and a curved ceiling, a perfect kitchen / dining space. In contrast the Nave features decorative open timber roof trusses with curved tie beams and lunette windows. Included in the sale are four pews, the pulpit and the Limestone Baptismal Font so that they can be integrated into the new use for the building thus enhancing the historical connection.
